FireFighter/Rescuer I, starting salary $34,857.00. Other surrounding
jurisdictions PG County, Frederick County, Howard County, Washington DC,
and Counties in the State of Virginia are all about the same. A degree
is not required for their initial hire, but is needed for promotions
once a member of the organization.
- Department of Environmental Resources
Prince George’s County Maryland, Engineer I starting salary
$33,736.00. Duties include code enforcement and fire protection
planning.
- Insurance Companies in the Metro area (IRI,
Factory Mutual, Lumbermans) will hire individuals at a starting salary
between $25K and $30K with responsibilities in loss control, safety,
and inspections for life safety, property protection, construction and
security. They may also get a take home car and other benefits.
- Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms, and Tobacco
has no positions for those with an A.A.S. degree, but with a four year
degree they will be able to enter as a GS-9 to GS-12 with a starting
salary between $38K and $60K depending on experience.
