Access for Programmers and Application Development CMP805
This course is designed to introduce the students to practical use of Macros and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and application development that can be used to adapt Microsoft Access to the needs of the business environment and Microsoft Office application. Major topics to be covered in this course are: use of Macro Groups to design and automate menus and dialogue boxes, tools and windows in the Visual Basic editor to create and modify VBA code, basic VBA program code to include module and procedure design, control and loop structures, automation of text and combo boxes, and programming methods to prevent errors. This is a hands-on course with the software and computers.
Prerequisites:
MS Access Level I - III, Programming Fundamentals or equivalent experience.
