TechLEAP Networking Track
TechLEAP's Help Desk, Computer Desktop Support, and Network Administration Track for the Spring 2010 class consists of a blending of credit and non-credit courses. This course sequence helps prepare graduate students for entry level Help Desk, Computer Desktop Support and Network Administration opportunities.
Semester 1:
- CMP 909 – MCDST: Supporting Users Running Microsoft Windows XP Desktop Operating Systems. - Gaithersburg Business Training Center.
- CMP 908 – MCDST: Supporting Users Running applications on Microsoft Windows XP - Gaithersburg Business Training Center.
- NW 199 – Windows Client Operation System [Windows 7] - Germantown Campus (Tuesdays, 6:00 p.m. Starts 1/26/10; ends 3/9/10);
- NW 203 Microsoft Windows Server [Windows Server 2008] - Germantown Campus (Tuesdays, 6:00 p.m. Starts 3/23/10; ends 5/04/10);
Later Semesters:
- Cisco CCNA Complete (Cisco Routers)
Students desiring an internship opportunity through TechLEAP will take the aptitude test, file an application, and follow all other admissions requirements as other students. See the TechLEAP Significant Dates page for details on the aptitude

- Class 1: Managing and Maintaining a MS Windows Server 2003 Environment.
MS Course #2273; Core Networking Class, 40 hours, CMP785; - Class 2: Implementing, Managing, and Maintaining a MS Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure: Network Services, CMP 810;
- Class 3: Implementing and Supporting MS Windows XP Professional.

Spring Semester
The Cisco CCNA Complete class likely will meet on Tuesday and Thursday nights, 6:00 - 10:00 p.m.The Active Directory class will be scheduled for Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., unless expected TechLEAP Networking Track registration warrants scheduling another weeknight evening session.
- Class 4: Cisco CCNA Complete - - Networking Basics; Routers and Routing Basics; Switching Basics and Intermediate Routing; WAN Technologies. Prepares for Cisco Certification exams in field of Cisco Routing. Montgomery College participates in the Cisco Networking Academy Program and has Cisco lab facilities. 96 hours, CMP 834.
- Class 5: Planning, Implementing, and Maintaining a MS Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Infrastructure. MS Course #2279; Core Networking Class, 40 hours, CMP811 (Saturday class).
- TechLEAP Internship Seminar (Course option for those seeking internship or career opportunities).
