As of September 2, 2003, Search Engine Watch reports that Google alone indexes 3.3 billion textual documents.  According to OCLC's (Online Computer Library Center) Web Characterization Project, which "conducts an annual Web sample to analyze trends in the size and content of the Web", the Web has grown 217% from 1998 to 2002.

Some of these pages contain accurate, unbiased, and up-to-date information.  However, many other web pages contain satirical, biased, and false information.  Therefore, it is vital to critically evaluate any information found on the web.
