How to Find Better Articles
Using Limits

LIMITS are another good way to avoid looking through a lot of articles that don't interest you. The limit options appear right under the search box and you can choose as many limts as you like.

Limits Window

Limiting to articles with text is the most useful limit. If you select this limit, all the articles you find will be available full text on the computer.

Limiting to refereed publications was already discussed in the section on evaluating an article. Use this limit when your instructor asks you to find articles in scholarly journals.

Limiting by date is less useful since Expanded Academic ASAP is limited to articles published recently (currently in the last 3 years).

Limiting to the following journal(s) would also only be used once in a while when you are searching for a specific article and know in which periodical it appears.
