Is It Scholarly or Popular?

Your instructor may ask you to use only ARTICLES from scholarly JOURNALS in your research. How do you decide if the article is scholarly?

Print out the handout for some ideas. Then look at the two articles below which were located in an Expanded Academic ASAP search. Which is the scholarly journal? On the next page you'll see the answer - as well as a way to make sure that all the articles you find are scholarly.
