Green Business Certification Courses

Montgomery College is partnering with the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection and the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce to provide Green Business Certification Courses. Learn more about Green Business Certification.

Green Energy and Sustainability Management

Green Energy and Sustainability Management courses are offered to the general public through a partnership with the Green Building Institute, a non-profit organization committed to fostering sustainable building practices through education. Green Training Programs

Garden Educator Training Course MGT354 crn#34997 at the Agricultural History Farm Park during spring break April 19,20,21. This course will present gardening basics, outdoor education techniques, and ways to integrate the garden with classroonm curriculum. The three day course will cover gardening with children, container vegetable gardening, schoolyard ecosystems. Learn More.

Green Building and Construction Technology

Green Technology courses address energy conservation issues in Building and Construction as they relate to planning, design, and implementation in existing and new buildings. Green Technology in Building and Construction Classes

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)

Montgomery College's Green Routine

As part of MC's Green Routine, the new Rockville Campus Science CenterGoing Green, our podcast is being submitted for Gold certification under the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system. The new high energy performance Science Center is expected to save approximately 39% per year in energy costs over traditional code compliant buildings.
